1. Scope of this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Torneva Wellness Ltd uses cookies and similar technologies on torneva.info, and forms part of our wider Privacy Policy. It applies to every visitor to our website, whether or not you go on to place an order, and covers cookies set by us directly as well as cookies set by third parties we work with, such as analytics providers. It does not cover cookies that other websites may set if you follow a link away from torneva.info, since we have no control over those sites. We recommend reading this policy alongside our Privacy Policy for a complete picture of how we handle personal data. If any term used here is unclear, please contact us using the details in section 16 and we will explain it in plainer language.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit it, allowing the site to remember information about your visit, such as your language preference or whether you have already seen a particular notice. Similar technologies, such as local storage and pixel tags, can perform comparable functions and are covered by this policy wherever we refer to "cookies". Cookies cannot access other files on your device, and they cannot themselves install software or malicious code. Some cookies are deleted automatically when you close your browser (session cookies), while others remain on your device for a set period of time (persistent cookies), as described for each cookie below.

3. How we use cookies and our legal basis

We use strictly necessary cookies without asking for consent, because UK law permits cookies that are essential to deliver a service you have requested, such as keeping an order form working correctly. For any cookie that is not strictly necessary, including our analytics cookie, we ask for your consent through the cookie banner shown on your first visit, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and UK GDPR. You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or open Cookie Settings to make a more detailed choice. Your choice is recorded and respected until you change it or until the consent record expires, as described in section 9.

4. Strictly necessary cookies

Necessary cookies support core functions such as remembering items in an order in progress, protecting the order form against automated submissions, and keeping the website secure. A session cookie named torneva_session is created when you begin using the order form and is deleted automatically when you close your browser; it does not require consent because it is essential to provide the service you requested. These cookies do not build a marketing profile of you and are not used for analytics or advertising purposes. Because they are essential, you cannot opt out of strictly necessary cookies while continuing to use the interactive parts of our website, although you remain free to stop using the site entirely.

5. Preference cookies

Preference cookies remember choices you have already made so that we do not need to ask you again on every visit. A cookie named torneva_consent records your overall cookie decision (accept, reject, or custom settings) for up to 12 months from when it is set. A second cookie named torneva_preferences records display-related choices, such as whether you have already dismissed the cookie banner, and is also kept for up to 12 months. These cookies are set with your implied acceptance of necessary functionality, since they exist to honour a choice you have already communicated to us, and they do not track your browsing on other websites.

6. Analytics cookies

Where you actively consent, we set an analytics cookie named torneva_analytics for a maximum of 13 months, which helps us understand, in aggregate, how many people visit particular pages, which pages are most useful, and where visitors experience difficulty. This cookie does not record your name, address, telephone number or order details, and the data it produces is reviewed in aggregated form rather than to identify any specific individual. If you decline analytics cookies, our website will continue to function normally, and no analytics cookie will be set on your device. You can change this choice at any time through Cookie Settings in the website footer, and any previously set analytics cookie will be cleared when you withdraw consent.

7. Marketing cookies

At the time of this update, torneva.info does not set third-party marketing or advertising cookies, and we do not currently run retargeting campaigns that rely on cross-site tracking cookies. Our Cookie Settings panel includes a marketing category as a matter of good practice and so that our consent mechanism is ready should this change in future. If we introduce marketing cookies later, we will update this policy with the specific cookie names, providers and lifespans involved, and we will only activate them once you have given clear consent through the Cookie Settings panel. Until such an update is published, you can assume no marketing cookie is active on this site.

8. Third-party cookies and processors

Where we use an analytics cookie, the underlying analytics service is provided by a specialist third-party analytics provider, which processes the pseudonymised data generated by that cookie under a data processing agreement with us. That provider does not use analytics data collected on torneva.info for its own independent advertising purposes. Our website hosting provider may set limited technical cookies necessary to route your request to the correct server; these are treated as strictly necessary and are not used to identify you personally. We do not permit unrelated third-party advertising networks to set cookies through our website.

9. Cookie retention periods

Session cookies, such as torneva_session, last only for the duration of your browser session and are removed automatically when you close your browser. Preference cookies, torneva_consent and torneva_preferences, are retained for a maximum of 12 months from the date they are set, after which you will be asked to confirm your cookie choices again. The analytics cookie, torneva_analytics, where accepted, is retained for a maximum of 13 months in line with common analytics industry practice. No cookie set through torneva.info is retained indefinitely, and each cookie is either deleted automatically at the end of its lifespan or replaced with a fresh cookie reflecting your then-current choice.

10. International data transfers relating to cookies

Data generated by our strictly necessary and preference cookies is processed within the United Kingdom by our hosting provider. Where an analytics cookie is accepted and the analytics provider processes data outside the UK, for example in the United States, we ensure that an appropriate transfer safeguard is in place, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK's International Data Transfer Agreement, before any such transfer takes place. We limit the analytics data transferred to what is reasonably necessary to produce aggregated visitor statistics. We review our cookie-related processors periodically to confirm that any international transfer safeguard remains valid and appropriate.

11. Your choices and how to withdraw consent

You can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or make detailed choices using the "Cookie Settings" link available in the footer of every page on torneva.info. Changing your preference takes effect immediately and will stop any previously accepted optional cookie from being set on future visits; any cookie already stored on your device from an earlier choice will be cleared or allowed to expire naturally. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before you withdrew it, and it will not affect an order already placed with us. If you clear your cookies through your browser settings, our cookie banner will reappear on your next visit so that you can make a fresh choice.

12. Browser-level controls

Most web browsers allow you to view, manage, block or delete cookies through their settings menu, and the exact steps vary by browser and device. In Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari you can typically find these controls under a "Privacy" or "Cookies and site permissions" section of the browser's settings. Blocking all cookies, including strictly necessary ones, may mean that parts of torneva.info, such as the order form, do not work correctly. We recommend using our own Cookie Settings panel first, since it is designed specifically for the cookies used on this site, and reserving browser-level blocking for cookies from other websites you do not wish to accept.

13. Do Not Track signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal that can be enabled in browser settings. There is currently no consistent industry or legal standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals, and torneva.info does not currently change its behaviour based on a DNT signal alone. Instead, we rely on the explicit consent choices you make through our Cookie Settings panel, which give you granular control over necessary, preference and analytics cookies. We will review this position if a recognised technical standard for DNT signals becomes widely adopted.

14. Complaints procedure

We aim to acknowledge a cookie-related complaint within 5 working days and to provide a full response within 30 calendar days. You are not required to raise the matter with us first before contacting the ICO, although we welcome the chance to resolve concerns directly.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the cookies we use, when we add a new service provider, or when the law changes. This policy was first published on 3 March 2025, alongside the launch of torneva.info; it was updated on 14 September 2025 to add the analytics cookie category and its named provider; and it was most recently updated on 11 August 2026 to record specific cookie names and lifespans and to clarify our position on Do Not Track signals. We recommend checking the "last updated" date at the top of this page whenever you revisit it.
