It is not a medicinal product and is not subject to medicines regulation or licensing by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency. Nutrient function claims made on this site, where used, are made strictly in accordance with the retained EU nutrition and health claims framework and relate to the individual nutrient concerned, not to the product as a whole. 5. Regulatory authorities
Food supplements in the United Kingdom are regulated by the Food Standards Agency (FSA), which sets standards for food safety and composition, including for products such as Milk Thistle Complex. Data protection matters are overseen by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF, telephone 0303 123 1113. General consumer protection matters fall within the remit of Trading Standards services and the Competition and Markets Authority. We aim to comply with the guidance issued by each of these bodies as it applies to our sector.
6. Data protection summary
We collect personal data such as your name, telephone number, delivery address and technical browsing data in order to process orders, respond to enquiries and operate the website, as set out fully in our Privacy Policy. We process most order data on the legal basis of contractual necessity, and cookie-related data on the basis of consent, which can be withdrawn at any time via Cookie Settings. Order and financial records are retained for six years for bookkeeping purposes, while general correspondence is retained for 24 months. You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection under UK GDPR, exercisable by contacting [email protected], and a right to complain to the ICO if you remain unsatisfied with our response.
7. Cookies summary
torneva.info uses a small number of cookies, including a strictly necessary session cookie, preference cookies named torneva_consent and torneva_preferences retained for up to 12 months, and an optional analytics cookie named torneva_analytics retained for up to 13 months where you consent to it. Full detail on each cookie, its purpose and its lifespan is set out in our Cookie Policy. You can manage your cookie choices at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer. No third-party marketing or advertising cookie is currently active on this site.
8. Third-party processors named
We engage a UK courier network to deliver orders and collect payment on delivery, a UK-based website hosting provider to operate torneva.info, an email service provider to send transactional messages, a telephony provider for our customer service line, and, where consented to, a website analytics provider to produce aggregated visitor statistics. Each of these organisations acts as a data processor on our instructions and is bound by contractual data protection obligations. Further explanation of each processor's role is set out in section 8 of our Privacy Policy. We do not permit any of these processors to use your personal data for their own independent purposes.
9. International data transfers
The great majority of personal data collected through torneva.info is stored and processed within the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area. Where any processor operates outside the UK, we ensure a recognised transfer safeguard is in place beforehand, such as the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Agreement issued under UK GDPR. We do not currently ship orders outside the United Kingdom. Should our processing footprint change, we will update this notice and our Privacy Policy accordingly.
10. Intellectual property and hosting
All content on torneva.info, including text, images, logos and the Torneva brand name, is owned by or licensed to Torneva Wellness Ltd and protected by copyright and trade mark law. The website is hosted on infrastructure operated by a third-party UK hosting provider on our behalf; that provider does not have any editorial control over the content published on the site. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use only, and any other reproduction requires our prior written consent, as set out in our Terms of Use.
11. Dispute resolution and governing law
These pages, and any dispute arising from your use of torneva.info or an order placed through it, are governed by the law of England and Wales, as set out more fully in our Terms of Use. We encourage customers to raise any concern with us directly in the first instance, using the contact details in section 3, before pursuing a dispute through any other channel. Consumers may also have access to independent advice through Citizens Advice or the small claims process for private civil disputes. Complaints regarding data protection specifically may be referred to the Information Commissioner's Office as described in section 5.
12. Complaints and response times
We aim to acknowledge any complaint, whether about an order, the website, or the handling of personal data, within 5 working days, and to provide a substantive response within 30 calendar days. Where a complaint requires input from a third-party processor, such as our courier network, we will keep you informed of progress if a response takes longer than usual. If you are not satisfied with our final response, you retain the right to escalate a data protection matter to the ICO, or a consumer dispute to Trading Standards or the small claims process, as applicable. We review complaint themes periodically to identify opportunities to improve our service.
